Not only did he take yet another opportunity to self-promote at his Trump hotel opening today (is this a 16 month commercial or a presidential campaign?), Donald Trump expressed his unwavering support for Newt Gingrich’s hostile, bullying and offensive interview with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly last night. Trump said, “Congratulations, Newt, on last night, that was an amazing interview…We don’t play games, Newt, right? We don’t play games.”
“Today we learned that Trump admires Gingrich’s outrageous attack on Megyn Kelly,” said Elizabeth Shappell, Communications Director of Correct The Record. “Trump unbelievably congratulated Newt Gingrich for going after Kelly in an interview last night, in which Gingrich declared she was ‘fascinated with sex’ because she justifiably brought up the accusations against Trump and the 2005 tape where he bragged about grabbing and kissing women without their consent.
