Tonight was peak 2016. While Donald Trump held a terrifying and insult-filled rally in Manchester, New Hampshire, Hillary Clinton was joined by President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, President Bill Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to preach love, unity and policies for a better and brighter future.
In contrast, Trump was his typical self. He once again called Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren “Pocahontas” and offensively remarked that “the inner cities, in so many cases, are like living in hell.” Trump is ending this campaign exactly where he started: with hateful rhetoric and bigoted lies. Over the course of the past sixteen months, he has made a mockery of our democracy and has used his candidacy to instill fear in the hearts of voters. He is unqualified for the presidency and his enablers, including Kelly Ayotte, are unfit to represent this nation.
Hillary Clinton knows we are stronger together. Tomorrow, Americans can show once and for all that love trumps hate.
