“By selecting Mike Pence as his running mate, Donald Trump has found someone just as toxic and extreme as himself. In Indiana, Pence signed bills legalizing discrimination against LGBT Hoosiers and taking rights away from women. He gutted wages for skilled workers and dislikes transparency so much he tried to create his own state-run news outlet. Like Trump, Pence’s potent combination of divisiveness has embarrassed voters, angered Republican leaders and alienated the business community. By choosing Pence, Trump has continued his campaign’s strategy of pitting Americans against each other.”
