Or did he? Today, CNN and others reported that in frenzied midnight calls last night, Trump tried to drop Pence from the ticket. It seems that campaign advisors walked Trump back from the ledge, but the damage is done. This rollout of Trump’s VP pick has been an unprecedented mess, and an awful first impression for his general election campaign.
