This morning, Donald Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort promised that Trump would be on message during his rally today and that “the campaign is focused and the campaign is moving forward in a positive way.”
Paul Manafort, call your office.
Today’s rally in Florida was wildly off message—even by Trumpian standards. The Republican nominee challenged President Obama to a game of golf (for the presidency), re-litigated his feud with Megyn Kelly and once again called Senator Elizabeth Warren “Pocahontas.” As The Hill’s Cate Martel tweeted, this supposed pivot felt “even more like a therapy session than usual.”
