Washington, D.C.—Today, President of Correct The Record Brad Woodhouse released the following statement after House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) announced he is requesting yet another investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
“Today, Clinton derangement syndrome is alive and well. Congressman Chaffetz once said that he believed in FBI Director Comey’s ‘integrity and honesty’ and would ‘probably’ accept the outcome of the FBI review. But apparently the FBI’s independent investigation didn’t do what Chaffetz and other right-wing Republicans wanted all along—to hurt Hillary Clinton’s campaign for president, so they’re at it again. Even the partisan Benghazi Committee, supposedly done with their ‘investigation,’ is finding ways to continue their witch hunt. The fact is, the GOP is stuck with Trump, and they are desperate to smear Hillary Clinton, no matter how dubious their claims or how embarrassing their efforts have been.”
