Tonight, we are thankful that Governor Mike Pence and those traveling with him are safe after a rough landing on a runway in New York.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump was in Ohio at his final rally of the day, repeating his bullying and destructive rhetoric. Through his hateful insults and divisive words, Trump paints a dark picture for our children. In classrooms across the country, educators are reporting more instances of bullying and more instances of fear among immigrant and Muslim-American students. This Trump Effect, as labeled by the Southern Poverty Law Center, is already negatively impacting our children. We simply cannot allow him to drag our children down into the dark alternate reality where it’s ok to ignore the truth and bully and insult others.
