In Sioux City, Iowa, at Donald Trump’s first of five rallies today, he hinted that Sen. Jackie Ernst turned down the opportunity to run as Trump’s VP, claiming that she felt she “needed a little more seasoning.” But that’s not the only news out today that people close to him are seeking some distance from his dangerous policies and hateful rhetoric. According to a New York Times report, Donald’s own daughter, Ivanka, after sitting for an ad to appeal to suburban women, asked the campaign not to promote the ad because she was worried it would damage her brand.
When members of your own family join members of your political party in keeping their distance from you, you know things aren’t looking good. Sad!
