It’s been a disastrous few days for The Donald. Just yesterday, New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced there is an inquiry into the Trump Foundation, which earlier this week was exposed working allegedly as Trump’s personal slush fund. The childcare plan Trump introduced last night has been widely panned as regressive, half-baked and even sexist—a political stunt designed to cover up his years of misogynist statements. And Trump continues to come under scrutiny for telling a number of deeply insensitive (and narcissistic) lies about the 9/11 attacks.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
New reports have raised troubling questions about whether Trump is compromised by his business interests. Yesterday, McClatchy and The Huffington Post reported that Trump—who styles himself as the ultimate negotiator—begged and complained to the Obama administration for help in a trade dispute with China. And early this morning, Newsweek published a devastating exposé revealing that the Trump Organization has highly suspect ties to governments and political groups across the globe—raising serious questions about whether Trump is bought and paid for by foreign interests and outlining the major conflicts of interest he would have if elected president.

Never before has an American candidate for president had so many financial ties with American allies and enemies, and never before has a business posed such a threat to the United States. If Donald Trump wins this election and his company is not immediately shut down or forever severed from the Trump family, the foreign policy of the United States of America could well be for sale.
