Screen Shot 2016-08-16 at 5.37.17 PM

Washington, D.C.–This evening, Correct The Record President Brad Woodhouse released the following statement on Donald Trump’s rally in Pueblo, Colorado:

“Donald Trump just defended the indefensible: losing nearly a billion dollars and potentially failing to pay any any taxes for years. Let’s be clear: there are no excuses for Trump’s terrible business record and his utter failure to come clean about his taxes. Trump’s claim that he had a ‘fiduciary duty’ to get out of paying his personal income taxes makes no sense. No one has a ‘fiduciary duty’ to avoid paying their taxes. Let’s not forget: Trump has still not released ONE year of his full tax returns. He continues to hide from the American people the full extent of his business failures, his lack of charitable giving and/or the fact that he isn’t as wealthy as he says he is. We don’t know what else Trump is hiding.”
