At tonight’s CNN town hall, Ted Cruz said the Supreme Court’s marriage equality ruling was “nothing short of tragic.” The only thing tragic is the hateful, harmful rhetoric spewed from Ted Cruz and the rest of the GOP candidates. The Supreme Court ruled that same sex couples can marry nationwide over 8 months ago, but that hasn’t stop Republican candidates from devising plans to move our country backward and not forward.

Ben Carson:

Ted Cruz:

Jeb Bush: In a campaign press release, Bush wrote, “Guided by my faith, I believe in traditional marriage.”
John Kasich: Kasich opposed both same-sex marriage and civil unions.
