First it was Ted Cruz. Now, it’s Mike Pence. Tonight, Republicans just keep repeating the exact same lies and right-wing talking points about the Benghazi tragedy.
LIE: Mike Pence: “And it was Hillary Clinton who left Americans in harm’s way in Benghazi and after four Americans fell, said ‘what difference, at this point, does it make’?”
THE TRUTH

Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson led his speech with an oft-used quote from Hillary Clinton on the Sept. 11, 2012, Benghazi attacks, but he left out the full context. Mukasey was more egregious in misrepresenting Clinton’s quote, saying: ‘So I guess about her emails we’re soon gonna hear the same infamous question that we heard about the death of four Americans in Benghazi, what difference at this point does it make?’ Clinton didn’t say that the deaths didn’t make a difference.
