Sometimes it can be downright depressing to read The Washington Post as a Hillary supporter. Just this morning, I found out from none other than a fella by the name of Chris Cillizza, who writes something called “The Fix,” that there was a “full-scale Democratic freakout” about Hillary’s campaign. Well, that was news to me, but Mr. Cillizza was kind enough to provide a link as evidence.
Said evidence was a previous piece in The Washington Post that quoted – hold on to your seats folks – a prominent Democrat claiming to be a friend of Hillary and former President Bill Clinton (you wonder how many thousands of people could fit that description). The “full-scale Democratic freakout” is according to several sources in the linked article (whose names we don’t know) who shared that “while no one is pulling the fire alarm, they see worrisome patterns emerging.” Worrisome patterns equal full-scale freakout.
Question: Does anybody edit that newspaper? Could The Washington Post please get any high school student editor in the Washington Metroplex to read its stories and determine if they even pass the laugh test?
The media frenzy surrounding Hillary Clinton’s email is bordering on ridiculous. In my life, I’ve seen a lot of “nervous Democrat” stories. I have been a Democrat for some time – finding a “nervous Democrat” is about as hard as finding a drunk in the French Quarter. I remember in May of 1992, there was a political story about Democrats looking for an alternative to Bill Clinton. You didn’t know their names, but you just knew they were out there.

The truth of the matter is, Hillary’s campaign has put forth some superb policy proposals. If you read recent press accounts, she’s had to spend an inordinate amount of time raising money because of the hundreds of millions of dollars that Republicans are funneling into their campaigns through Super PACs.
My advice to Hillary supporters everywhere is to pay no attention to the “full-scale Democratic freakout” or any other goofy stories written by a fear-mongering media.
If reporters wants to freak out about something, it should be the state of the Republican Party, considering that Donald Trump, according to a new CNN poll, is more favorable among Republican registered voters than Jeb Bush.
Who do you think is more freaked out, partner? The Hillary supporters or the Jeb supporters? Let me assure you that there are a lot of reasons for Democrats and Hillary supporters, in particular, to be quite optimistic about 2016.
