The lies about the Benghazi tragedy continue. Tonight, Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson said that Hillary Clinton “hatched her cover-up story and repeatedly lied to the American people” about the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya. Yet The Washington Post’s Fact Checker has repeatedly found “little support” for the claim that Clinton misled the American people about what happened in Benghazi.

THE TRUTH: Washington Post Fact Checker found “little support” for the claim that “Clinton told the American people the attacks were because of a video.” “Focusing just on the public statements made by Clinton — as opposed to the rest of the administration — one find little support for Rubio’s claim that Clinton told the American people that the attacks were because of a video.
