As his poll numbers take a dive, tonight Donald Trump tried to counter-program the Opening Ceremony of the Rio Olympics. As the world comes together to celebrate athletic excellence and international cooperation, Donald Trump was swimming in falsehoods, fear-mongering with lies about the threat refugees pose to America and misrepresenting Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy. With so many Russians banned from the Olympics for doping, it’s no wonder Trump is boycotting the Opening Ceremonies. The Donald knows there is no gold medal for lying, right?
