“At tonight’s debate, Secretary Clinton demonstrated her full-fledged support for immigrant families, while Bernie Sanders was left on defense for voting with Republicans against comprehensive immigration reform,” said Brad Woodhouse, President of Correct The Record. “Sanders’ weakness on immigration is just par for the course from a single-issue candidate who can’t make the tough choices to solve real problems.”
“To quote Hillary: ‘Basta.’ Enough. A candidate like Sanders—who has voted in support of the NRA and against funding the auto industry rescue —makes an unconvincing argument that he can fight for comprehensive immigration reform. Based on this week’s public shows of support, the NRA and Koch brothers would likely agree.
“Hillary has a detailed plan to give those in the shadows a path to citizenship. She also has a plan to build on Obamacare, a plan to overhaul the criminal justice system, and plans to break barriers for the American people. And, yes, that includes a plan to rein in Wall Street. Sanders only has a repeated talking point. Hillary is marching towards the nomination because millions have put their trust in her that she would be the best choice to get things done for all Americans.”
