“In a fact-free speech, Donald Trump today tried to win over Iowa voters with lies, condescension and bogus claims. Trump falsely accused Hillary Clinton of running a ‘policy-free campaign.’ The truth: Clinton just published an entire book of policy proposals, while Trump doesn’t even have a real plan to defeat ISIS. On the day when the Census reported that median incomes are up, Trump showed just how ignorant and narcissistic he is by claiming that only he can raise wages for working Americans. In fact, a report published today proved that Trump’s policies could bring down our country’s GDP. Trump is desperately trying to sell himself as a populist unifier, but he’s nothing more than a false prophet. The few proposals Donald touted today would pollute our communities, cause millions of Americans to lose their health care and give big tax giveaways to billionaires. Trump has no idea how to lift working families or expand opportunity. Instead, he only offers toxic rhetoric and falsehoods.”
