Washington, D.C. — Correct the Record Founder David Brock released the following statement after Media Matters released video of close Trump ally Roger Stone saying on Alex Jones’ conspiracy theory radio show that Donald Trump himself gave money to former White House aide Kathleen Willey so she would be able to attack the Clintons during Hillary Clinton’s current presidential run. Donald Trump’s presidential campaign put out a video today that features Willey accusing Bill Clinton of sexually assaulting her in the 1990s.
Nothing is below Donald Trump, including paying Kathleen Willey’s mortgage so she could ‘hit the road and start speaking out on Hillary. It is no surprise that this serial liar is willing to pay for the re-peddling of these unfounded, already-discredited claims. The media needs to ask: Who else is Trump paying? And, if Trump is willing to stoop to the equivalent of bribes to propagate lies against the Clintons, where else is the biggest liar in the history of American politics willing to go?
