Last night at the Univision Democratic debate, Bernie Sanders was asked by moderators to respond to a video clip that showed him praising Cuban dictator, Fidel Castro.
Instead of denouncing Castro, Sanders “failed to distance himself sharply” from the brutal leader and even attempted to justify the regime by saying, “They have made some good advances in health care” and “made some progress in education.” Sanders’ response showed he is tone-deaf to the concerns of Florida voters, some of whom have fled Cuba because of Castro’s regime.
